This website
The website is static and loads no fonts, scripts or images from third parties. There are no cookies and no tracking. The hosting provider Vercel Inc. (USA) processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, time) in server log files when you visit. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (operation and security of the website). The transfer to the USA relies on the provider’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The language you choose is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted.
The Pythia Voice app
What the app processes. When you dictate, your voice is recorded briefly on your device and sent to the Groq service (Groq, Inc., USA) with your personal API key. There it is converted to text and cleaned up. The recognized text is then inserted into the text field you are writing in. Pythia Voice does not store the recording. The history text and your dictionary stay on your device only; you can delete them in the settings.
Accessibility service. The service is used only to show the dictation button above the keyboard and to insert the dictated text into the active text field. Only the text field you are writing in is read. Other screen content is neither read nor stored. In password fields the button is hidden.
Your API key stays on your device only. We do not receive it.
License and trial. The trial status (start time, number of dictated words) and an activated license key are stored locally and, to restore them after a reinstall, backed up through Google Block Store with your Google account (if device backup is on). When buying through Google Play, Google processes the payment.
Disclosure. Audio and text go only to Groq, and only when you dictate. Groq’s privacy terms (groq.com) apply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (you trigger dictation yourself).
Buying a license
Payment is handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland, and where applicable Stripe, Inc., USA). Stripe processes the payment details you enter and your e-mail address; we do not receive full card data. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract). After successful payment the license key is sent automatically to your e-mail address through the e-mail service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), which receives your address for this purpose. Transfers to the USA rely on standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Statutory retention periods for accounting records remain unaffected.
